the  web@nestval.org   -   current site information
If you have any questions or comments, or - more importantly! - material to submit to add to the NESTVAL website, please drop me a note at:  web@nestval.org

Please note that the email is not auto-linked.  This helps reduce robo-spam.  Just copy and paste (or type it in... that's why I kept it short!)...

Some of the categories are not linked to anything yet.  These will be activated as I receive information to include.  I would eventually like to incorporate a web-based membership form that one could fill out, hit submit, and have sent direct to whomever is responsible for that sort of thing.  Maybe someday I'll figure out a way to do that for our meeting registration and abstract submission, but I'll definitely have to move beyond FrontPage.  Maybe CoffeeCup.  Any and ALL suggestions, comments and - especially - material are welcomed.

Details
The NESTVAL web is currently being maintained (and I use that word loosely, at best) by Bob Amey (Bridgewater State College). The site was created in FrontPage (because I've been too lazy to learn Dreamweaver and haven't gotten around to buying CoffeeCup yet), and is currently hosted by the BSC Department of Geography using server space on godaddy.com.  The domain "nestval.org" is owned by myself at the moment, but will be transferred in the future to either the BSC Department of Geography or to NESTVAL.

The site has been tested on Internet Explorer 7.x, Firefox 3.x, Chrome (beta), and even an old version of Netscape (7.something).  I have not yet tested it on Opera or Safari (or any other browser you can think up).  Please let me know if you run into any problems.  The site is structured in a very simple way (by a very simple, and somewhat lazy mind) and should work on most browsers, but it is not optimized for mobile devices, and may not work well (or at all) on cell phones, PDAs or similar devices.  Certain features of the site will not work on mobile devices that cannot run Java.
